Orientation:
Year of the Wood Dragon, who's heart shaped tail end should be at the top. Not every year will have a Chinese Zodiac Animal, but this year is an exception! Mother Earth, Divine feminine energy is flooding into the world to bring the New Earth, the seeds of balance! Spring equinox is on the right side, underlined in yellow, between Tropical Astrological periods of Pisces and Aries. This Calendar's Year begins on the Spring Equinox (March 19th 2024). You may want to rotate the Calendar once a season counter clock-wise for easier tracking. To read the Calendar, find the month and day around the circular map you want to examine, and imagine a line or place a straight edge beneath it from center to outside edge. Anything along this line maps what is occurring on that day: planetary retro-grades, a full moon, the zodiacal period, etc. Mark days that may be of personal importance to you, for example: moving to a new town, meeting your partner, a child's birth, a significant dream. See how these may relate to other celestial events, or just wonder at the amazing cycles we live within while spiraling through the galaxy.
Center: The Sun & Wood Dragon, paw upon the threshold of each seasonal change..
Inner Rings 1-3 represent the inner planets; Mercury, Venus, Earth. Their orbits (inner line of each ring) are defined using sacred geometry to accurately present their orbits in relationship with each other. Retro-grade periods are colored. Venus has no retro-grade this year.
Astrological Field: Twelve common sign of the Zodiac (Tropical Astrological).
Ring 4: Mars,
Month / Moon Ring: Moon Cycles, Full and New Moons, and the common Months of the year (Julian or Gregorian Calendar)
Ring 5: Jupiter and the weeks of the month sectioned into 7 day lengths (blue lines MTWTFSS)
Field of Days: Significant events noted included major meteor shower peaks.
Ring 6: Saturn
Number Field: Numbers for the Days of the Month
Rings 7,8,9: Uranus, Neptune, Pluto
Astronomical Ring: These 13 Astronomical periods are rendered on the third from the outer-most ring. They are the constellations in their observable positions. (calibrated from. 38.5347 deg N, 105.9989 deg W). They differ from the more common Tropical Zodiac due to precession (of the equinox). They also include the lesser known 13th Constellation Ophiuchus, which is between Scorpio and Sagittarius.
Ring 10: Chiron (Asteroid)
Outer most Ring: Seasonal Periods and additional information including Earth's age (4,589,738,404 years arrived at via channeled info / inspiration). This number is within scientific estimates of the accurate age of our planet.
Exposition:
This is the second year I’ve created the Calendar (2024 C.E.). It has been a portal for much learning. This Calendar was inspired in late winter (2021 C.E.). I experienced this information as a creative energy that moved through me. I saw time represented by a spiral form, one complete orbit / cycle for each of our circular paths around our sun / star. I plan to make a new one each year, as the cycles differ slightly each year to the next. Ideally I would like to find a way to print them on a transparent medium with a cut from center to edge at the Spring Solstice to allow each year to be added to the next. This will create an upward, clock-wise spiral of marked time. I’ve always felt that if one could make a reasonably accurate model of time on earth it would be some sort of spiral structure. The intention is that the transparent spirals will allow one to see patterns in their lives they might otherwise be unaware of. Additional, attuning our minds and hearts to a pattern for marking time that is more in rhythm to “natural” cycles, we may also understand our lives in a larger context, that is made more personal by mapping the significant experiences of our lives upon it. With your support, I hope to continue creating and offering the Calendar and see its evolution.
